Project Title: Development and Optimization of Soft Contact lenses for Corneal Reshaping
Project Abstract:
Orthokeratology is the use of contact lenses for corneal reshaping of people with refractive errors such as myopia. The lenses are worn overnight to alter the shape of the cornea and removed upon awakening for corrected vision. My project will involve understanding the biomechanical principles of soft contact lenses and corneal reshaping and using finite element modeling to design soft orthokeratology lenses.
