Abstract Guidelines
Please submit an approximately 300 word (one page) abstract summary. The abstract should provide a succinct overview of your project and include the following components:
- Meaningful progress and milestones achieved with respect to your project.
- Any problems you have encountered in meeting your project goals and how you were able to overcome those problems.
- Expected project accomplishments and contributions to your specific field within BME.
Presentation/Poster Guidelines
- Target audience: well-informed biomedical engineers, who may not be specialists in your area.
- The presentation should:
- Give sufficient background, but avoid unnecessary details.
- Highlight your contribution/expected contribution to your current project and the field of BME.
- Describe how your work is expected to influence your future career goals and professional development.
- Educate the audience.
- You may briefly describe your cultural experience abroad; focus on the professional aspects of your work. For example, you may want to discuss the observed differences from your U.S. experiences in administrative arrangements and practices, research funding, or professional/personal interactions. You can discuss travel and social experiences, but stay clear of talking about sightseeing trips.
